Conplant’s success and stability in market has led to the need for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our Western Australia branch, based at Malaga.
Reporting into the Regional Operations Manager, you will assist with the management of safe, effective and efficient co-ordination and utilisation of branch resources.
As Assistant Branch Manager, you will undertake a range of responsive branch administrative support services on both a planned and ad hoc basis to contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of day-to-day operational activities.
You will also:
- Lead, manage and develop all day-to-day branch operational activity across core business including hire, capital sales, parts, retail service and transport to maximise profitable sales outcomes and ensure equipment availability and consistent, positive customer service.
- Where appropriate, act as a central point of contact at Reception or by telephone to ensure that Conplant’s customers and suppliers receive professional, prompt and consistent responses to their enquiries.
- Manage all administrative procedures and records associated with the implementation of Conplant’s Safety Calendar and Contractor Management to contribute to the effective management and mitigation of a range of operational risks through the delivery of appropriate and timely due diligence activities.
- Undertake the organisation of all building and site maintenance activities on a planned and ad hoc basis to ensure that facilities are maintained to meet organisational and where necessary, legislative standards and requirements.
- Actively provide a range of advice and guidance for customers (internal and external) to assist in the effective identification and timey provision of spare parts services to meet customer needs.
- Coordinate the provision of follow up quotations and all associated administration to ensure that parts are accurately priced, ordered, despatched and invoiced to contribute to the provision of a profitable, responsive and professional spare parts service.
- Undertake fault diagnosis and repair (mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and hydraulics) in a time sensitive customer facing, operational environment on customer sites and in Conplant’s workshop, actioning all associated follow up activities and paperwork to minimise customer downtime and contribute to the maintenance of Conplant’s hire revenue.
- Provide a range of technical advice to customers (face to face and by telephone) to assist in the effective minimisation of unscheduled call outs and where necessary co-ordinate planned and adhoc external resource allocation to minimise downtime, maintain operational capability and contribute to the maintenance of Conplant’s hire revenue stream.
- Undertake a range of other planned and ad hoc administrative as directed to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of day-to-day operational activities.
You will bring:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a high risk, real time operational environment, ideally within the hire or heavy equipment industry.
- Computer literacy is required for use of Microsoft Office and in-house software systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
