Assistant Bridal Fitter

We are seeking an experienced fashion / bridal stylist / fitter that wants to join our fun and diverse team. 

In the role of bridal fitting assistant, you will broaden your knowledge in all aspects of the fashion and Bridal industry. My Private Tailor is Sydney's leading alterations specialist that services many of Sydney's Bridal Boutiques, various fashion houses and works closely with Sydney's top stylists. 

My Private Tailor is a premium alterations company based in Pyrmont, Sydney. We specialise in bridal and suiting alterations and repairs. We are rapidly growing and are looking for new employees to join our team. You will be working alongside the Director, managing the tailors and assisting with day to day tasks:

Duties:

• Assist/manage Bridal/ Client fittings  
• Review with the Design team regularly to discuss fit issues
• Administrative duties including: responding to enquiries, booking appointments, managing calendar, general admin duties 
• Regular Design studio maintenance and organisation
• Manage social media accounts 

Experience :

• Fitting Experience preferred but not essential as hands-on training will be provided
• Understanding of patternmaking and garment construction
• High level written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
• High level of initiative
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong sense of collaboration
• Ability to work independently but also within a dynamic team environment
• Outstanding organisational skills
• Ability to effectively problem solve
• Ability to manage deadlines
• Great customer service

We are looking for someone available 3-5 days a week and must be able to work Saturdays.
