Job Description
Sourcing 40%
  • Source products to meet our Members Clients' needs, contacting current suppliers and manufacturers using procurement knowledge, IbisWorld, Jaggaer and internet information.
  • Identify and provide products and/or suppliers to assist in improving profit margins without compromising product quality or service.
  • Search the market for goods as a special buy stock which are at lower cost than normal goods to reduce costs to Clients Members.
  • Assist and or run sourcing events including RFQ/RFP/RFI, online auction, collaborative sourcing, multi-event negotiations, etc. Use e-tendering including E Reverse Auctions to ensure best market value.
  • Assist with ad-hoc project/event product sourcing based on what the requests are to support the event. Work with internal teams and customers to support special event needs.
Customer Service 40%
  • Liaise with suppliers on market trends and changes in product availability.
  • Regularly release market updates to the relevant teams (CBMs, CS, Culinary Teams) on status of products, quality, availability and expected trends.
  • Ensure verbal weekly report to manager on state of requests, and outstanding issues and actions to be taken to close.
  • Attend trade shows and supplier visits
  • Have a strong understanding about the clients' WITY and needs by meeting regularly with the relevant teams or directly with them within their environments.
Data Entry 10%
  • Data to be accurately monitored in the MCIS and MyOrders system, including price, descriptions, orders, vendor priority, lead times and other aspects.
  • Tableau Data and MCIS to be maintained to ensure ongoing accuracy by regular review as orders come through and confirmation on a regular basis with suppliers via email/excel.
  • Agility Pipeline to be maintained.
Contract Management 5%
  • Ensure all purchases are made in accordance with the organisations contractual arrangements that are developed and executed for our Members Clients.
  • Assist in maintaining the contract pipeline up to date.
  • Assist and enter in the setup of contracts arising from Jaggaer online sourcing activities, including the construction of tasks.
Heath, Safety and Security Management 5%
  • Adhere to any organisational policy, procedures and systems relating to health and safety.
  • Participating in safety meetings, inspections, and risks assessment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Take reasonable care for own and others health and safety.
  • Inform the appropriate Manager of any health & safety problem or defect which may give rise to danger and reporting promptly any incident which may occur.
The Successful Applicant
Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant completed or partial tertiary qualification Economics/Business/Commerce, CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM qualification or equivalent is desirable

Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of buying within a formal purchasing environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products particularly Excel. This should be tested formally by Human Resources.
  • Working in a team environment for at least 12 months of no less than 4 people
