Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Control, your duties will be focused on the maximum utilisation of dispatched fleets through the consistent application of best practise mine control tactics and strategies. You will take an active role in ensuring compliance to schedule and operating philosophies, driving a culture that not only conforms to company safety standards, but also seeks to continuously improve operating efficiency and realise cost benefits.A competitive salary is on offer which includes employee share options, employer matched super contributions and a performance-based bonus scheme. We offer an even time lifestyle roster.Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Understand site Safety Systems and their link to health and safety
  • Manage the fleet effectively and efficiently
  • Maximise equipment productivity and efficiency in accordance to the 24 hour mine and maintenance plan
  • Maintain the integrity of the mine model by ensuring virtual road network is consistently up to date and looking at ways to reduce travel time and maximise production
  • Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation with senior leaders and team members
  • Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation with key stakeholder groups - Mining, Maintenance and Processing/Fixed Plant
  • Continuous improvement through identifying system and operational process improvements in the use of the autonomous fleet management system
Lifestyle RosterThis position will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing.Employees on this roster enjoy two full weekends off out of four and will align to the following shift rotation: 2D2N5X, 2D3N4X, 3D2N5X. Shifts are 12.5 hours including handover and you will benefit from additional shift allowances, as part of your remuneration package. As an added benefit, those on a Lifestyle Roster will also enjoy an additional week of annual leave per year.About YouTo be successful in this role, it is critical that you possess previous dispatch experience, preferably in an open-pit mining environment.Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in mining, technology or logistics industry
  • Prior experience with Modular Dispatch™ or Frontrunner™ systems, or CAT Minestar Fleet™ or Command™ systems
  • You will be comfortable with detailed reporting and analytics, as well as drawing concise data from these activities to identify faults and optimise operational outputs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A high level of computer literacy and system application
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
