An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, Assistant Buyer to join our GUESS Buying Team.
What does our GUESS Assistant Buyer do?
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate weekly sales reports, prepare best/worst seller reports, and participate in monthly feedback meetings.
- Visual Merchandising & Samples: Track visual merchandising performance, organise physical samples for trade meetings, and maintain a sample library.
- Trend Monitoring & Research: Monitor product trends and performance, conduct trend research, and present ideas for future buys.
- Buy Planning & Order Management: Assist in planning merchandise assortments, create and update Buy Plans, and manage order sheets.
- Post-Market & Administrative Support: Verify order confirmations, maintain Visual Assortment and Buy Plans, update product registration fields, and provide administrative support to the buying team.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with marketing on campaign styles, communicate with suppliers, ensure accurate product registration, and address store issues.
- Competitor Analysis & Documentation: Perform competitor analysis, maintain seasonal product books, and manage monthly sample sales.
What qualities do we want you to have?
- Degree qualified.
- 2+ years in a similar retail buying support role.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Professional communication abilities.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Intermediate Excel V- Lookup and pivot table creation skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- A keen interest in fashion is desirable.
