Looking for a temporary opportunity to grow your career and leadership experience in Buying? Our Buying team has an exciting new role available to cover a parental leave period as an Assistant Buying Manager under a fixed term contract, commencing from May 2023 until end of January 2024. Reporting directly to our Buying Director, you'll be an integral part of overseeing the team on the floor. With your help, our buyers will meet weekly deadlines and adhere to metrics, ensuring that our team stays on track and continues to succeed. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, THIS IS WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AS OUR ASSISTANT BUYING MANAGER:
Assist Buying Director in the overall management of Buying.
Support Buying Director in team management and hitting team critical KPO’s.
Manage Direct Reports.
Deliver Buyer KPO’s.
Analyse & Report on Department Performance.
Review and approve Weekly Assortment buy with Buyers.
Responsible for the team deliverables, upkeep, and data accuracy.
Achieve Category Sales in line with Company Targets.
Achieve Gross Margin in line with Company Targets.
Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers
COMMERCIAL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum buying experience of 5 years is preferred.
Minimum people management experience 5 years, with experience managing a minimum of 2 direct reports at the same time is preferred.
Minimum 5 years working with local and offshore suppliers - supplier and wholesale partners.
Proven track record of OTB and SKU management.
Strong analytical buying background.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Strong process and calendar management skills.
Good understanding of the product life cycle.
Proficient in MS Office suite.
Proficient in Google docs.
$105,000 - $120,000 a year
