The role:
You’re in high school, looking for a rewarding career pathway in the health industry, keen to work part-time after school/evening, or weekends with extra work available at school holiday time
Joining the Warrigal team as an ACE (Assistant Care Employee) you will be assisting our experienced teams in our Residential homes in Bundanoon. As an introduction into the Health care industry, you will start by understanding our resident’s needs, learn a variety of tasks such as assisting with meals, stocking supplies and engaging in social activities.
This is an exciting possibility to open up a range of pathways into the Nursing, Allied Health and Administration and Hospitality. Aged Care has a lot to offer.
About You:
- You will have a positive nature and a positive attitude towards older people
- You will enjoy working in a team and have clear communication skills
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- You will be keen to develop task management and problem solving skills
To be successful you will need to:
- Be 16 years and over, studying high school Years 11-12
- Be available to work a minimum 8 hours per week (2 x 4 hour shifts)
- Be COVID vaccinated (minimum 2 vaccinations)
- Willing to complete a National Criminal History check
Must be able to commit to the following dates;
- Interview Wednesday 5 June 2024
- Information Session Wednesday 26 June 2024
- Full availability to undertake training programs across the two weeks of July 2024 school holidays 8/7/2024 – 19/7/2024
