The key purpose of this role is responsible for assisting the Senior Chaplain with all aspects of the life of the Chapel. The Assistant Chaplain will be involved in and conduct School Eucharists/Masses and other religious services. This role will also be involved in teaching religious education in the Junior and Senior School. The Assistant Chaplain will encourage a life of spirituality amongst, and work collaboratively with, all members of the School community.
This role will be for a fixed term contract of Term 3, 2024, however we would ideally like the successful candidate to commence in Term 2 for a handover if possible.
The successful applicant must:
- Must be a licensed and ordained Anglican Priest.
- Ideally have a suitable tertiary qualification in Education with relevant qualifications in Theology.
- Must have a Working with Children Check and/or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Level II First Aid Certificate is well regarded.
- Relevant Anaphylaxis Awareness Training.
- Must be able to or willing to supply a current (not more than 6 months old) Police Check.
