Parental Leave Cover- Casual Position
38 hours p/wk. approx. 7.30am-10.30am/ 1.30pm-6.30pm
Monday-Friday school terms only.
Children’s Services Award (level based on qualifications/ experience)
$40.31 p/hr minimum Casual rate
Additional Allowances include split shift & uniform.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Co-ordinator to join our team, providing high quality care to children at our Centre. The Assistant Coordinator works closely with the Nominated Supervisor in the day-to-day management and leadership of the centre, and assists Room Leaders to develop and implement a safe and engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft- always being guided and influenced by the children and their interests.
The position involves a mix of face to face contact and administrative and management duties, including being rostered as one of the responsible persons in charge of opening and closing the Centre.
Working with a team of Room Leaders and Educators, the position will require an experienced, professional candidate with strong knowledge and understanding of the complex environment that is a large outside-school-hours care service.

Essential Criteria:* Confident, positive, and approachable personality, coupled with a genuine passion for working with children.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in leading and mentoring team members and a desire to continue improving.
* At least 3 years experience in a leadership role working with school age children.
* Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to assist and lead in the design and implementation of programs for children.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to develop professional relationships with families, Educators and the school community.
* Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, child protection training or willingness to obtain.
* Knowledge of the National Regulations, My Time Our Place Learning Framework for School Age Children and National Quality Standards (NQS).
* Working with Children Check clearance. This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your employment.
Desirable criteria:* Experience in rostering and managing shifts for Casual Educators.
* Strong knowledge of school-aged children's development and needs.
* Experience using HubWorks software.
* Experience in managing additional needs.
