AddressSt Augustine's Outside School Hours Care is currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join our team as a permanent Assistant Coordinator.
Our centre, located in Augustine Heights, offers before school care, after school care, and vacation care services to up to 120 children. We are committed to creating a happy and safe environment that supports the well-being, learning, and personal development of primary school-aged children.
Position Details:
- Position: Assistant Coordinator
- Location: St Augustine's Outside School Hours Care, Augustine Heights
- Hours: Full-time - 38 hours per week
- Remuneration: $29.15 to $34.39 per hour, as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010 (dependent on qualifications and experience).
As an Assistant Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our service. This includes:
- Program planning, delivery, and documentation.
- Staff rostering and supervision.
- Administration and financial management tasks (e.g., fee collection).
- Assisting in the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, educational program.
- Providing children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
- Promoting the service within the local community in alignment with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
- Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
- Experience in the education and care of children.
- Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
- Effective workplace communication and leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to make persuasive and appealing presentations.
