As an Assistant Corporate Accountant, you'll be joining a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of wear products and services for mining equipment. In the role, you will provide support to both the Tax and Treasury teams, gaining experience in two distinct areas of specialization. Your responsibilities will include aiding in global treasury management and banking, ensuring tax compliance, managing corporate governance, overseeing insurance functions, and participating in ad-hoc accounting projects.
You enjoy collaboration and teamwork and will provide valuable assistance to the Treasury Team through treasury processing, including bank processing for group companies in Australia and our overseas subsidiaries, bank reconciliations, accounting for foreign exchange transactions and payments in the Bradken ERP, preparation of hedging documentation and loan documentation and assisting with inputs into cash flow forecasting and treasury reporting.
Tax responsibilities will include assistance with the preparation of monthly business activity statements, the annual fringe benefits tax return, company tax returns and reconciliations, monthly tax provision calculations and consolidated tax reporting. Involvement in monitoring transfer pricing positions, calculations and reporting will also be required.
You will also provide support to the Company Secretary with the set up of new legal entities, submission of annual corporate governance filings and reports for group companies and various ad hoc governance requirements and assist with the management of global insurance policies and requests for the group.

Key Criteria:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Business
- A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or working towards.
- At least 2 years' experience in an accounting role in commerce or public practice.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes, accounting systems, and internal controls - together with the commercial acumen to apply these practices in a growing environment
- Tax or treasury experience an advantage.
