Coho Property is a family-owned residential property developer with a focus on premium boutique residential projects in the Port Stephens area. Established in 2017 and with ambitious growth plans and five sites currently in initial stages of design/development, Coho is seeking an assistant Development Manager to support the projects and be an integral part of their expansion. The culture is entrepreneurial and fast-paced, with a small team of self-motivated individuals working across various sites.

About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager you will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle across development, delivery and realisation.
This role would suit an early career professional who is looking for a career defining opportunity to further skills across property development and project management in a smaller firm with minimum bureaucracy and reporting load, and maximum opportunity for growth and variety.
The role is work from home with regular travel required to visit sites and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules
- Organise and attend project meetings, documenting and following up on important actions and decisions
- Managing and coordinating consultants through all stages of project
- Communicate and collaborate with our building partners, and assist the construction management team
- Developing and manage project budgets and financial reports
- Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all project documents are properly filed and accessible
- Add value in the design process and work with the Marketing Manager and external design team to finalise high-quality designs and finishes applicable to the target market
- Work with external legal team to prepare tender/contract documentation
- Assist with future site acquisitions including feasibility studies
- Financial management of projects including approval of contractor payment claims and invoices
- Support maintenance and operations of future development sites
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Property, Construction, Project Management)
- 3-5 years experience in development management or related field
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Fast and willing learner
- Driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Based in Sydney or Newcastle/Port Stephens and willing to travel between for work as required
