The Role
The role of Senior Assistant Development Manager entails working closely with our Development Managers who are responsible for managing existing and new projects from inception and master-planning through to practical completion and settlement.
Projects can range in size, from $5m to $500m. The role itself includes the supervision and handling of all development related outcomes including feasibilities, forecasting, cash-flow and assisting with the management of all PCG (Project Control Group) reports and meetings.
Key to the role, is your ability to problem solve, seek out opportunities and implement strategies. Along with developing internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, you must ensure all projects conform to development plans, program and business strategies.
The Candidate & Experience Required
You may have a background as an Assistant Development Manager, looking to take the next step or a Junior Development Manager looking to advance and manage your own projects this year or you may have a different title in a development or property company and looking for a new challenge and change in direction.
You will have strong communication, decision making, and time management skills together with high attention to detail.
Other desirable qualities would be;
- Advanced Excel skills including modelling and macros together with advanced Word skills and ideally be familiar with Estate Master software.
- 3+ years working in a similar role in property development, ideally within the retail and / or hotel sectors.
- Proven financial analysis skills, together with the ability to present this information to the team.
- Bachelors’ degree, ideally in property or commerce.
- Passion and motivation for the property industry together with a confident nature. Be a clear thinker and team player with the ability to deal with a variety of clientele.
- Thinking of others you work alongside such as, investors, clients, team members and the greater community and what you can do for them.
- Positive energy, strong ethics and high customer service delivery.
