16th January, 2024 Assistant Director Sustainability – Paddock to Plate – RIE & Risky Play We are seeking an Assistant Director with either a Bachelor of Education, Working towards a Bachelor of Education or an experienced Diploma qualified Educator in Early Childhood Education and Care. The role is full time and we are flexible to negotiate working day patterns.
The Role This role of Assistant Director will assist the Director/ Nominated Supervisor to provide leadership and management to educators and staff regarding all aspects of the operation of the service in line with relevant regulations and procedures. You will perform the role of Director/ Nominated Supervisor in the absence of the Director/ Nominated Supervisor. In this role you will have: Designated non-contact time (off the floor) Administrative duties and tours Experience working with all levels of educators Strong understanding of the NQS Fulltime, flexible work arrangement for the right candidate Responsible Person experience
The right person for this position will have strong staff and room management skills and knowledge, agile and adaptable. You will also be responsible for supporting the educators in our service to provide routine, and programming for all children, develop and lead child led learning in responsive to children’s ideas, strengths and abilities that inspire independent learners. Your role will involve engaging the children in age appropriate activities, following the room rituals and routine, contribute to programming, completing the floor book and creating daily posts.
You will be supported by our dedicated leadership team to help you grow and expand your knowledge as an educator. The person we are looking for: Holds a Bachelor of Education (ECT), Working towards a Bachelor of Education or an experienced Diploma in Early Childhood Education Holds a WWC check, current first aid and CPR qualification
Have recently completed a child protection course Have Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill, including documentation skills Have knowledge of
Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards Is commitment to early years learning and best practice Is experienced working in long day care
