About the Position
Reporting to the CFO in the Finance and Resources team, the Assistant Director, Finance is responsible for financial data accuracy and integrity, management of Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS), preparation of financial reporting and budget, and working with various stakeholders to deliver a range of finance, resourcing and project services to the Commission. Ideally, the Assistant Director will have experience using TechnologyOne and CBMS, a background in information systems and/or hold baseline security clearance.
Duties
- Monitoring and analysing accounting records to ensure data actuary and integrity.
- Managing the maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of the FMIS.
- Preparing financial reporting, budgets and other statutory reporting.
- Responsible for reconciling major capital projects, lease accounting, assets and valuation.
- Management of the entire financial function including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, travel, taxation, and month end processing.
- Educating and guiding Commission staff to develop improved financial literacy.
- Contributing to process improvements and procedures.
- Providing support and expert advice to the CFO and Executive team.
- Other duties as directed by the CFO.
