Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, using a variety of mediums, with a broad range of customers (internal and external) and government service providers. This includes the ability to effectively manage customer interactions including conflict resolution.
- Experience in an accounting or a financial transactions environment, utilising computerised accounting systems, financial management systems or financial database
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and generate reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a culture of teamwork and service delivery excellence and taking shared responsibility for achieving results.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, formulate appropriate solutions and understand new concepts and information quickly whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
