This pivotal role will be based in our prestigious 5-star hotel, The Windsor, and extend its impact across our award-winning restaurants (Aru, Antara, Parcs, Sunda) and our bakery Kudo, offering a unique and diverse experience within the hospitality industry.
You will already have an impressive background in Finance. You will be looking for an opportunity to progress your career and to work closely with the Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified or nearing qualification CA/CPA preferred
- Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Assist with the group budget, forecasting and cash flow
- Provide timely financial reporting to management and analysis of variances
- Manage compliance matters including auditing, income tax and GST, FBT
- Ensure the timely reconciliation of bank statements and revenue
- Ensures implementation of the credit policy decided by Management
- Ensure financial reporting, maintenance of accounts, compliance with statutory requirements, control of costs and management of funds.
- Fixed asset management including recording, acquisition and disposal
- Management of the purchase process to ensure timely and accurate posting and payments
- Ensures and monitors the accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable (including debt recovery), and inventory management control and payroll
- Reporting and lodging indirect business tax (GST and payroll tax)
- Producing month end reporting and reconciliations including cash flow and project finances
- Monitors key performance indicators for the department and takes corrective action as required
- Ensures prompt, courteous and accurate service to all internal and external customers to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience with Opera, Sage 300, Wage Easy, HumanForce, Materials Control, Oracle Simphony, MYOB & Microsoft Office Suite will be an added advantage
You will have previous experience in a hotel or related travel industry, experience with staff supervision. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position and a real passion for delivering positive outcomes.
