As an Assistant General Manager you will support the leadership function of the care home to ensure excellence in all aspects of service delivery; the highest standard of person-centred care of residents, the utmost quality of resident experience, compliance with the Aged Care Standards and Clinical Governance Framework and ongoing development and engagement of the care home team. About the care home
Bupa Baulkham Hills is a modern care home set in the heart of the Hills district, Sydney. Less than 30 minutes from Parramatta, and close to the M2, this home consists of 144 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
Duties
Lead the nonclinical teams of the Care Home to ensure a positive impact on the resident and their experience.
Work with all staff to provide coaching, training and ongoing support to ensure service and provision of care is in line with Resident and Bupa standards.
Ensure that the workforce is appropriately resourced, engaged and equipped to support the service delivery to residents.
Manage and assist Care Home operations regarding Resident & customer interactions (eg complaints, lost property, admissions, departures, tours, etc) and ensure requests meet their satisfaction.
Support the achievement of the Occupancy Management Plan and Care Home KPI’s from a Commercial, Governance and People perspective.
Act as delegate of the General Manager as and when directed.
Administer and support the audit schedule across the Care Home operations.
Assist with the compiling of response documentation for Bupa Australia or Aged Care Quality Commission audit outcome queries.
Develop action plans for any issues that require attention and ensure that they are closed out in efficiently and effectively.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a Service (Hotel/Retail) or Aged Care environment preferred
Strong Customer service experience and complaints management
Team leadership and engagement skills
Strong organisational skills and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Accreditation and compliance standards preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WHS
Experience in holding team training sessions
Strong communication and literacy skills
