The role
12 month fixed term
Join us in an exciting entry level opportunity within our Grain Trading team!
Assist in the development, implementation and execution of profitable trading aligned with our annual strategy. You will provide critical administrative support to ensure all trading activities are executed accurately and on time.
The emphasis of this role is to build a strong platform for successful candidates to establish their career in agricultural commodity trading. We are seeking candidates with general administration experience that will lead to the development of industry specific skills and opportunities. CBH offers ongoing trainingand exposure across various business units involved in trading.
Key responsibilities
Assist in the administration of grain purchase and sale contracts and entry of all contract related data into our commodity trading and risk management systems in a timely and accurate manner
Enter, monitor and amend contract cost and income estimates ensuring alignment with accruals, payments and receivables.
Produce and maintain reports and positions and examine and resolve any issues arising from daily trading activities
Act as a liaison between commodity desks and the broader business and build effective networks within and across all teams at CBH
Compile/reconcile data from all trading activities and maintain data entered into electronic monitoring systems for accurate records.
Proactively review and monitor risks associated with trading and execution activities
Skills and experience
Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Economics, Finance or numeric related discipline
Strong desire to start a career in agricultural commodity trading
Exposure to administration or support functions
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload`
High level of communication and interpersonal skills
Creative analytical skills withthe ability to manage data
Proficient Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel
Completion of some tasks may require irregular hours, outside standard business hours (i.e. contract and other data entry for end of day processes).
