Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking Assistants in Midwifery to join their maternity ward on a casual basis. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and be willing to develop your knowledge in all areas f midwifery in this fast paced and varied environment. The ideal candidate will be in their second year of their midwifery degree.
As an Assistant in Midwifery your responsibilities will include:
Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties across Special care nurse, birth suite and post delivery care.
Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice
Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Essential Criteria:
Currently studying 3rd year Bachelor of Midwifery
Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
