The role of the Assistant in Nursing is to ensure the clinical care of patients at SVPHS is provided in a person centered care manner, within the philosophy, mission and values of St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney.

Your skills and experience:
- TAFE Certificate III in Acute Care OR engaged in 2nd year of university nursing studies OR overseas qualification as a Registered Nurse (not yet registered with AHPRA).
- To ensure all patient care delivered is done so within the scope of practice of the Assistant in Nursing and by adhering to policies and procedures of SVPHS and St Vincent's Health Australia (SVHA).
- Is able to demonstrate clinical knowledge in the specific area of practice with a commitment to professional development and clinical teaching.
- Is able to clinically manage one's self, and others when required, to create a transformational leadership environment.
- Ensures the confidentiality of patients and staff is maintained and communication and interpersonal skills are effective and appropriate.
- In conjunction with their direct Manager, participates in regular structured appraisal and peer review processes.
- Provide quality health services within the ethos of the vision, mission and values of St Vincent's Health Australia and ethical standards for Catholic Health.
- All positions contribute to the provision of quality and sustainable health services within the mandatory requirements pertaining to the Australian Council on Health Care Standards and Magnet status for which SVPHS has been awarded.
Remuneration:
St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney Nurses' EA. Assistant in Nursing Year 1 - Thereafter: $26.31 - $28.88 based on experience level and relevant qualifications + salary packaging + superannuation, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
