An excellent opportunity is now available for 2nd or 3rd year Undergraduate Nurses to join the Casual pool, located at Nepean Hospital.The imperative role of the Assistants in Nursing (AIN) provide support to the nursing team in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife and provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife.Your role will see you assist Registered Nurse/Midwives and Enrolled Nurses with patient care interventions as directed and within the scope of practice and contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required, This position will see you communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol.Apply now to join the NBMLHD team!An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.About us:Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. - Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to patient care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal
- Previous experience working in an acute care setting
- Ability to work a flexible roster
- Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation Category A
