Assistant in Nursing, Sub Acute/Rehab - Maclean

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions for permanent, temporary and casual positions.

The Assistant in Nursing provides direct care to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with patient care interventions as directed and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required.

If you have:

• HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance/or equivalent or equivalent experience OR completion of one (1) or more years of training as an undergraduate nursing student
• Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/seven day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays
• Good knowledge of basic nursing care including physiologic observations and assistance with activities of daily living
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team
• High degree of reliability and punctuality
• Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control standard precautions
• Computer skills including the ability to use a variety of office and health related software applications
