Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide quality support to residents with their personal care and activities of daily living
- Collaborating with the healthcare team, including nurses, doctors, and other allied health professionals, to provide holistic and person-centred care, contributing to a positive team culture and effective care coordination
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation and records, including care plans, incident reports, and observations, as per Queensland Health standards and Regis policies
- Effectively communicating with residents, their families, and the healthcare team, including nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, to provide updates, report concerns, and ensure continuity of care.
About you
As a collaborative member of the team, you will possess:
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or recognised equivalent
- Previous placement and/or experience in a personal care role in aged care (desirable but not essential)
- Demonstrated ability to work to required resident outcomes
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service through empathy and compassion towards residents. Understanding their emotional needs and providing emotional support to enhance their well-being and comfort.
- Time management and interpersonal skills
- If you are currently studying or looking to do a Certificate III in Individual Support or hold a Certificate II in Health Services, we invite you to apply and welcome the opportunity to speak with you. To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, supply a NDIS worker screening clearance, COVID and flu vaccinations, and certification proof.
