An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Insurance Broker to join our small but growing Insurance Brokerage based on the Mornington Peninsula. We are highly focused on customer service, which is demonstrated by our client centric approach and dedication to building long lasting relationships.
About the role
This role would suit a motivated, and dedicated individual who is wanting to work at a more relaxed pace on a varied book of SME commercial accounts. With the guidance and support of the company Director, you will be helping with the management and growth of the portfolio for the business.
Your tasks would include:
- Quoting client policies
- Processing renewals, endorsements & placing cover through online platforms
- Liaising with insurers and underwriters to put policies in place
- Co-ordinate and ensure timely responses to client and insurer enquires.
- Assisting with claims as required
- Other general broking duties associated with the role.
Qualities/Experience we are looking for
- At least 2 years of recent experience in commercial insurance broking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- A sound level of IT competency, including Microsoft Office suite
- Winbeat OR Insight, Sunrise, and SCTP proficiency are favourable
