The Role
As Assistant Manager for this iconic retail emporium, you'll play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the store. From assisting customers on the sales floor to managing inventory and supporting our team, you'll be involved in every aspect of the business.
Responsibilities:
Enhance the Shopping Experience
- Maintain high standards for our stock, ensuring that it is inclusive and free from offensive content.
- Coordinate freight quotes and arrangements to ensure that our inventory is always well-stocked.
- Mentor our customer service staff to build a cohesive and effective team that delivers exceptional service to every customer.
Handle Daily Tasks
- Assist with phone and Instagram enquiries, providing helpful information and assistance to our customers.
- Address stall holder enquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that they feel supported and valued.
- Assist with events as required, helping to create memorable experiences for our customers.
- Complete end-of-day reconciliation to ensure that our records are accurate and up-to-date.
Administrative Duties
- Manage the roster, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
- Conduct monthly inventory checks to ensure that we have an adequate supply of products.
- Coordinate freight and deliveries, booking shipments and monitoring their progress to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
- Previous retail or management experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends and evenings as needed.
This is a full-time position, including shifts every other Saturday and Sunday.
