The Harvest Store is a leading Fresh Produce store located in South Morang with over 40 years of experience in providing locals with a large range of fresh fruit, vegetables & groceries sourced from local farmers and growers.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Fresh ProduceAssistant Manager to join our team of like-minded people who share our enthusiasm for providing our community with locally sourced Fresh Produce at affordable prices. Customer service is at the heart of what we do and is at the forefront of every role in-store.
Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll have full accountability of the day-to-day running of our Fresh Produce Department. You’ll take pride in contributing to a store which is exceptionally presented, welcoming and engaging for our customers, team members and local community.
Successful Applicants will have a proven track record of:
- Knowledge & experience handling Fresh Produce with care.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Direct leadership experience as you’ll need to lead, coach, and develop your team to meet sales targets and store objectives.
- To maintain excellent department standards including monitoring stock, rotation routines, wastage, shrinkage, quality control and completing daily stocktake.
- To drive a one team culture which celebrates success and puts our team members health, safety and wellbeing first.
- Ability to look ahead, energise your team and deliver with pride.
- Ensure high standard of Fresh Produce merchandising and presentation, whilst delivering excellent quality and service standards.
- Passionate about produce retailing, achieving sales targets and store objectives.
- Maintaining store pricing and ticketing.
- Flexible availability over a 7-day roster including weekend availability and public holidays.
- Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain one).
