We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our amazing team. In this role, you’ll have the responsibility of being the face and voice of our wonderful hotel, play a critical role in delivering the exceptional and personalised service to all guests as early as the pre-arrival stage to the departure. You will be the inspiration and motivation for all team members, so must be an excellent inspiration for our current fabulous guest services team. You are career driven and keen to be mentored by the General Manager and the Executive SKYE Team.
Key responsibilities & duties
- Providing exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay
- Effective coordination and supervision of all guest arrival and departure procedures to achieve a reputation as a market leader in the industry and deliver a truly memorable experience for our guests
- Promoting and up-selling hotel facilities and services through strong product & service knowledge
- Maintaining procedures in relation to credit and cash transactions and accounting documentation
- Valet parking and retrieving guest vehicles.
- Responsible for the smooth operation of the Front Office department and the hotel
- Assist the Front Office Manager in training staff accordingly
- Coach, lead and mentor associates to deliver exceptional service
- Handling complaints, Conflict resolution
- Able to work under pressure, deal with tough situations
- Maintain a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude always
- Proactively seek opportunities to create thrilling and memorable guest experiences
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Previous 5-Star Front Office experience in a Supervisor or Manager position
- An in-depth understanding of all Front Office operations, standards & procedures
- Current Australian drivers license
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products – Tech Savvy
- Experience with a Property Management System (PMS)
- Full time flexible availability weekdays, weekends & public holidays
- Must have unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia
- Excellent time management, managerial and organisational skills
- Outstanding corporate presentation & communication skills
- Well organized, with attention to detail
- The ability to easily build rapport with team members and guests is essential
