The Moriac General Storeis open 7 days a week and we are looking for an EXPERIENCED Assistant Managerto come join our tight knit, locally owned family business on a full time basis from Tuesday to Saturday.
Being only 15 -20 minutes from Torquay, Anglesea and Geelong, the Moriac General Store and Licensed Post Office is known for its great coffee, delicious food and friendly community minded staff. With the post office and bottle shop also on site, we are a busy shop that services our local community and passing trade. We want to build and grow our business and we need the right person to join us on this journey as our much loved Assistant Manager is leaving to travel overseas.

Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serving Cafe, General Store & Australia Post Customers
- Excellent customer service skills - being able to talk to customers and develop relationships with locals a must.
- Coffee-making skills essential
- Kitchenhand skills desirable and / or a willingness to learn
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate or desire to obtain.
- Work closely with Manager and fellow senior and junior staff.
- Using Till and Eftpos Machines
- Adding value and generating sales through upselling and second selling.
- Following procedures and being responsible for the overall café / General Store cleanliness.
- Prep and Pack takeaway orders prepared by our chef
- Opening and closing of General Store.
- Cleaning and making sure that the General Store and Cafe is always presented well.
- Replenishing and rotating stock - Daily
- Ordering of stock - Daily
- Contributing to the placement of staff throughout shift and rostering with manager
- Money handling
- Must be able to work days listed above.
