My client is a Top 100 Accounting Firm (approx. 100 staff) that has an incredible opportunity for a Senior Accountant with 4+ years' Public Practice experience to step into an Assistant Manager role where they are second in charge in a team of 8 Accounting staff. Objectives of the Role:
The objective of this role is to utilize your extensive experience to assist in the management and support a portfolio of premium clients. The Assistant Manager is responsible for working alongside the team Manager and Directors to build and nurture relationships with their existing and new clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist senior client managers in the preparation of their compliance work, as well as managing their own client list.
- Exposure/knowledge assisting in advising clients regarding tax planning advice on budgeting, forecasting and value-added services.
- Manage and foster client relationships and be a point of contact.
- Second in charge in a Pod of 8 staff and build culture within the Pod.
- Lead the Pod when the Manager is away.
- Manage own workload and deadlines for clients.
- Providing taxation advisory services and advice as required by clients.
- Liaising directly with clients.
- Reviewing work of accountants.
- Training and mentoring of accountants.
- Assisting the team with the completing of tasks or work assignments as necessary to ensure client service requirements are met.
- Assist Manager/Directors with completion of special assignments or projects as requested.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years' experience in Public Practice environment with most recent title being Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager / Supervisor.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Software experience with Xero
- Highly detail oriented and organized.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with different levels of employees in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Qualifications:
- CPA / CA qualified
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
