Freycinet Marine Farm Pty Ltd, through our two eateries, Freycinet Marine Farm and Fishers of Freycinet, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our business on a permanent, full-time basis.
NOTE: this is not a seasonal position, it is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a great opportunity to be part of the Freycinet Marine Farm family as we continue to grow at our established Coles Bay eatery and the newly redeveloped Fishers of Freycinet @ Devils Corner Vineyard.

We are a family-owned oyster and mussel farm on the East Coast of Tasmania. Our business has developed over the last 18 years into an iconic farm-gate seafood attraction, showcasing Tasmania’s world-class seafood and wines for local visitors, interstate tourists and overseas guests. The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support the manager in both outlets in the day-to-day running of both our eateries. We produce award-winning seafood from our farm, so ensuring a high level of food and customer focus is paramount, as is cooking or good food knowledge. A previous leadership role in hospitality would be viewed favourably. To be successful you will need the following experience and attributes:
• 3+ years relevant experience in the industry, combined with the desire to lead a team.
• Good knowledge of food and cooking techniques.
• Worked in fast-paced restaurants, cafes, or hospitality venues.
• Good organisation and the ability to work within a team.
• An understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude and being a team player are critical.
• Knowledge of stocktake, ordering, food, and wage costs.
• Knowledge of, and experience with POS systems (Light speed).
