The role:
Provide leadership and management to a team of staff, ensuring the delivery of efficient financial services to the Department of Health (DoH).
Assisting the Manager - Statewide Revenue with the management of the Department’s revenue administration and debt collection functions, including working with key stakeholders to maximise revenue and to assist with the management of the Statewide financial resources.
Duties:
- Manage day to day and ongoing monitoring, review and management of the operations area, including human, physical, IT and financial resources.
- Develop, provide and analyse reports to assist with management of the department’s financial resources, including the formulation of budgets, forecasts, periodical and end of year processes.
- Manage and coordinate Statewide debt management functions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The Assistant Manager - Statewide Revenue reports to the Manager - Statewide Revenue and is:
- Responsible for the overall management of the revenue area, with all Team Leaders in each region directly reporting to the position.
- Expected to exercise a high level of judgement and initiative and to carry out the functions of the position with limited direction from the Manager – Statewide Revenue.
- Required to fully participate in DoH financial forums/workshops/meetings and work as part of the finance management team for the DoH.

Details of Appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $104, 756 to $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

- A relevant tertiary qualification or substantial experience in health service revenue financial management
