Ice Skating Queensland Inc. owns and operates Iceworld Olympic Ice Rinks which are located in Acacia Ridge and Boondall.
Qualifications & experience
- Post-secondary education in business management, HR management, hospitality, or venue management. Qualifications in WHS and Occupational First Aid are highly regarded.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in hospitality, venue, or operational management, with proven leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in providing or training staff to provide a high level of customer service, ideally within a sport, recreational or tourism setting.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. Understanding of HR principles, basic accounting, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Support and collaborate with the Operations Manager in the delivery and execution of the organisation’s annual operational plans and supporting budgets.
- Lead on the design, communication, and delivery of daily operational plans to support the advertised rink schedule and individual session and event needs. This responsibility will require close collaboration with Maintenance to integrate facility maintenance tasks into the daily plans.
- With support from the Operations Manager, lead on the development and delivery of a comprehensive training schedule to ensure staffing skills are continuously meeting the expectations of our diverse customers, covering WHS, emergency action plans and customer service.
- Support the Operations Manager in the implementation of all relevant emergency, safety, Work, Health & Safety (WHS) & risk management protocols, effectively ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all patrons and staff under your supervision.
- Provide proactive, inclusive, and appropriate supervision to all staff under your supervision, positively supporting them to execute their delegated tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently.
