Under the direct supervision of the Operations Officer:
Assists with the management and implementation of conservation works programs and operations within the Murchison district.
Monitors and reports on allocated operations.
Liaises with community, key stakeholders and community groups in a positive and informed manner.
Assists in the preparation and delivery of allocated works programs to agreed standards and timeframes.
The position can operate across all services within the region depending upon the development program engaged in and the operational needs of the region.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following three (3) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
Some knowledge (Level 1) and experience (Level 2) in working in natural land management or a closely related field or a related technical area, with a preference for some experience in biodiversity conservation management.
Broad understanding of the issues involved in planning and implementing works programs.
Evidence of well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills with an ability and willingness to work closely with the community, indigenous and special interest groups.
