- Assistant Managers support the Production Manager and inspire the team and consistently meet and exceed their performance standards. provide the best quality doughnuts possible.
- Assistant Managers coach and mentor their team to create a fun and authentic workplace focused on delivering delicious doughnuts while ensuring the Site continues to operate to its best when they are absent.
- Assistant Managers lead by example and manage their Site ‘as if it was your own business’.

Every day at Krispy Kreme presents different challenges and while you will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet them all, there are some tasks that will form the backbone of your work as an Assistant Production Manager 2:
- Accountable for supporting the Production Manager on general running of the site with the emphasis on productivity and asset care of the site, with a planning horizon not less than one week.
- Maintain a safe and healthy workplace at all times and proactively eliminating and manage potential safety issues.
- Ensure all equipment are in good repair and line boil-outs are performed at agreed intervals at the right quality.
- Ensure that there are sufficient number of boil-out-trained operators..
- Develop mastery on production line operation and trouble shooting.
- Be the champion of production scheduling and train the team on production scheduling and following the schedule.
- Monitor production yields and advise on improvements.
- Develop mastery of EBS OPM process and champion trouble shooting and error correction.
- Adhere to business system processes such as enterprise planning, time, and staff management, ecommerce system on day-to-day basis.
- Be flexible to work on a rotating roster.
- In line with the Company mobile phone policy, be open to take occasional phone calls outside your work hours.
- Lead daily directional setting (DDS) meetings with the team to review and enhance performance with a focus on continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost and well-being of the team and ensure key messages are communicated to the team during your shift.
- Carry out quarterly performance assessments of team leaders and members assisting the 2IC.
- Communicate Site maintenance issues with the Production Manager and ensure resolution.
- Provide meaningful feedback to stakeholders on the quality of product and services provided to your Site.
- Oversee Crew Members performance on shift whilst providing coaching, feedback and also address any concerns as they arise throughout the day.
- Contribute to build and sustain a cooperative and supportive team environment.
- Assume critical functions of the other APMs in their absence.
- Take on hands-on activities such as production, processing, packing as means of leading by involvement.
- Assume ad-hoc duties as required.
- Contribute to Krispy Kreme through providing feedback and insights into best practice, especially in the area of productivity and asset care.

Education
- There are no qualifications required for this role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in food handling or manufacturing
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a relevant industry
- Demonstrated consistent delivery of high-level Manufacturing standards
- Demonstrate ability to deliver financial results with high attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- An understanding of the importance of WHS in the workplace
