Assistant Project Manager

The role will be assisting the Construction Team and be responsible for the following:

• Liaising with suppliers and contractors.
• Open to travel and visiting site.
• Organising drawings.
• Estimating and being across projects from start to finish.
• Facilitating in the preparation of project variation quotations.
• Reading and interpreting plans.
• Project costs tracking.
• Formulate detailed scope of works for trades.
• Prepare a project program/schedule.
• Creation and facilitation of trade subcontracts.
• Checking trade quotes including all requested works as detailed.
• Assessing subcontractor progress payments.
• Ensure supplier quotes are thoroughly checked against client selections.
• Organise purchase/delivery of material, appliances etc with the Site Manager, so they are delivered on time.

To be successful, you will have:

• Desired to have experience in managing projects from start to finish.
• Contracts administration experience.
• Site experience and be comfortable going to site when required.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• Desired to have design experience and be able to read CAD drawings.
• Ability to understand contracts.
• Highly organised and able to meet competing deadlines.
• Well-presented and punctual.
• Exceptional knowledge of construction materials and specifications.
• Highly tuned on-the-job problem-solving qualities.
• Ability to work well in a team with highly developed people skills.
• Excellent IT skills – Outlook, Prime, MS Project, Excel, Word. Project Management software skills will be looked upon favourably.
• Exceptional with communication, report back and email correspondence.
