We have an amazing opportunity based in our South Melbourne studios for an Assistant Producer & Audience Engagement Project Manager to join our NEW BREKKY SHOW! Jase and Lauren can be heard from 6am to 9am on Nova 100 in Melbourne, and listeners can stream the show live or catch up with the daily podcast by downloading the Nova Player.
Please note – this is not a role that requires you to manage staff.
What you will be doing:
- You must be able to seamlessly traverse programming and promotions with a passion for both to make sure both are invested in equally.
- You’ll have a dual reporting line which will require you to work directly under the Executive Producer & Senior Audience Engagement Project Manager supporting these teams.
- You are passionate about radio, enjoys good banter and will positively contribute to your personal and professional development in the radio broadcast industry.
- This role requires a rare combination of creativity and attention to detail whilst being surrounded by some of the funniest people in the business.
Some of the specific things you will be responsible for:
- Documenting the show & writing the daily rundown
Creating daily prep/contest sheets as directed by the Executive Producer
- Show phones management
- Show liaison with the commercial side of the business (working with our Sales and Create teams)
- Management and implementation of show promotional giveaways (including liaising with Legal to ensure T&C’s are compliant, talent are briefed, contest sheets are accurate)
- Manage client briefs, brainstorm stand out creative ideas and assist with writing up responses for promotional campaigns & giveaways (including liaising with external stakeholders)
- Work proactively with the Program Director and Head of Audience Engagement to achieve and deliver station marketing and programming goals
- Promotion prize fulfilment (making sure our winners receive their prizes!)
- Be across the partnership promotions generated by Nova 100 Research Daily content
- Source Celebrity Guests
- Attend outside broadcasts / Record Stunts / interviews off station
- Research Guest bios
- Watch / Record Television shows / Highlight suitable grabs
- Assist implement Major Story Arcs
- Assist with meeting guests when they arrive on site
- Project Manage Podcasts
- Develop new ideas for the show
We want to meet you because you:
- Are familiar with high end studio equipment or have a keenness to learn
- Have exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Possess the ability to effectively manage various stakeholder expectations at all levels
- Have a love, passion and deep knowledge of music, local current affairs and pop culture
- Have strong interpersonal skills to work well within a team, and show dedication to the Nova brand and product
Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum of a years’ experience in a similar role at media company
- A sound knowledge of Nova Entertainment’s shows & product – and also an understanding of who Jase and Lauren are!
- A proven passion for broadcast radio and a zest to learn more in programming
