The role
As Assistant Web Publishing Officer at Queensland Health, you will work with the team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Communicable Diseases Branch's online content. Your responsibilities will include consulting with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with web publishing standards, managing specific projects, performing quality assurance checks, and fostering collaborative relationships within the branch and its partners. Additionally, you will assist with the development of educational materials and identify opportunities for improving systems and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
This role requires proactive engagement with various stakeholders to ensure that electronic publishing tools and techniques are utilized effectively, and online communication activities meet accessibility requirements and user expectations. You will also have the opportunity to lead projects, aid and advise, and contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of educational resources. Overall, your role will be integral to supporting the CDB's objectives and ensuring that its online presence remains user-friendly, informative, and compliant with departmental standards.
The successful person
To excel in this position, you must possess strong written and interpersonal communication abilities, adept at fostering relationships, negotiating, and engaging with diverse stakeholders. Moreover, you should demonstrate advanced problem-solving and analytical proficiencies, coupled with the capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
You will have experience with content management systems, or the ability to rapidly learn new software applications. Collaborative teamwork to accomplish unit objectives is also essential for success in this role.
