Your role

Do you have a passion for training and would like to help make a positive difference in our NSW social housing maintenance?

Homes NSW is an Agency of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). Our vision is for NSW to be a place where everyone has access to safe and secure housing, and where experiences of homelessness are rare, brief, and non-recurring.

We lead work to deliver more quality social housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW, empowering our tenants to live fulfilling lives and achieve their potential in inclusive communities with a focus on breaking, rather than managing disadvantage.

We strive for excellence in service delivery and most importantly, Homes NSW puts people at the heart - including our staff. Working for us means you are joining a team where your expertise and skills will be valued.

The Technical Training and Business Improvement team is dedicated to developing and delivering Housing Portfolio-wide training initiatives informed by the Quality Management System, including the creation of user guides, quick reference guides, and internal e-learning modules, as well as conducting monthly onboarding training and providing training on new systems and processes.

The purpose of this role is to provide support across activities that contribute to the development and delivery of a range of training and business improvement projects in line with established objectives.

What you'll do

As an Assistant Project Officer in the Technical Training and Business Improvement Division, your role is to assist in managing and implementing a range of training and business improvement projects that will support and improve service delivery across Homes NSW, Housing Portfolio.

You will be responsible for assisting with research and analysis to support the preparation of key training and business improvement initiatives, and will undertake operational aspects to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards. These aspects may include monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and managing deliverables and tasks.

Additionally, you will provide operational advice and communication to key stakeholders regarding project status and implementation issues. Further to this, your operational experience will be relied on to help diagnose, analyse, and solve issues.

You will also assist in preparing a range of project related documents including briefing notes, status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers, thus playing a vital supporting role in the overall success of your training and business projects.
