THE POSITION
As the Assistant Service Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of energetic customer service consultants to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.
Supporting the Group Service Manager, you'll be involved with creating efficient and profitable operations of the Service department while also building and maintaining a positive customer experience.
The role will include:
- Managing the Service front desk team to deliver a positive and professional customer experience.
- Working with the team of Service Advisors to provide prompt and courteous customer reception, including handling of customer jobs and invoicing.
- Review and discuss performance reports with the Group Service Manager.
- Adopt a position of authority within the department in the absence of the Group Service Manager, including satisfactory resolution of customer complaints, ensuring booking levels are maintained, and staff are working productively.
- Ensure processes such as driveway service, loan car allocations, quotes and invoicing are followed correctly and efficiently.
- Preparing estimates and quotes for repairs.
- Assist in advising customers of vehicle warranty coverage and associated policies.
Required skills:
- Strong customer focus.
- A demonstrated 'People Person' with motivation and initiative
- Experience within the Automotive industry.
- Demonstrated experience working within and supervising a team.
- A good understanding of the vehicle servicing processes and procedures.
- Strong verbal, written and listening skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Email.
Desirable skills:
- Technical knowledge.
Applicant must have a current and valid Queensland “C” class driver’s licence.
