Gold Coast’s most luxurious dining experience Nineteen is currently recruiting an Assistant Sous Chef to help lead the brigade and drive quality and consistency for this signature restaurant.
Nineteen at The Star has offered an elevated dining experience to its guests since first opening their doors on the Gold Coast in 2018. Showcasing a chic rooftop restaurant and sundrenched lounge bar, the venue features incredible views of the glittering Gold Coast skyline and a luxe rooftop location.
Situated on level 19 of The Darling Hotel, the restaurant showcases a 90-seat dining area, opening out onto an infinity pool with sweeping views across the Pacific Ocean, as well as a private dining area catering to more intimate functions. A stand-out is the restaurant’s impressive, double-heighted, glass framed wine room with a capacity to hold more than 3,500 wine bottles.
We are currently looking for a passionate, highly dedicated and organised Assistant Sous Chef to join the team in Nineteen. You will be given the responsibility of supporting the leadership team to assist with leading the team, always ensuring consistency in high quality product and service standards.
What are we looking for?
- Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or large restaurant
- Fine dining experience (preferred)
- Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
- Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation
- Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
