Veale Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Mandurah. The Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in various aspects of store operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory management, and administration. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff management, store presentation, and stock management.
- Coach and train team members to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
- Maintain and monitor store inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe, and presentable for customers at all times.
- Provide assistance to customers as necessary, especially during busy periods.
- Conduct regular audits of the store to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Process sales transactions when necessary and generate daily sales reports.
General Company Policy:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including clocking in/out, dress code, and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
- Notify management of any absences or issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace and assist with housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all road rules and vehicle maintenance policies when using company vehicles.
Duties:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and sales opportunities.
- Ensure showroom levels are maintained and items are stocked appropriately.
- Monitor delivery requirements and ensure accuracy levels are maintained.
- Become proficient in banking and store operating procedures.
- Report any issues or feedback to the Store Manager.
- Assist with stock management, including buy-ins, stock transfers, and returns.
- Ensure all stock is accounted for and in saleable condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store at all times.
People & Team:
- Foster a professional image to fellow employees, customers, and the community.
- Assist with training and development of staff.
- Monitor staff performance levels and assist with performance reviews.

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the motor vehicle sector is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of selling, sales strategy, and incentives.
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail management or customer service roles is essential.
