We are on the lookout for an energetic and ambitious Assistant Store Manager to join and lead our team at our Birrong store.
We're searching for a person with a positive can-do attitude, energetic, has a passion for developing an efficient team, and most importantly be able to create a fantastic shopping experience for our customers.
Your day will consist of:
· Ensuring that key financial, audit and sales targets are met and exceeded;
· Monitor the weekly financial reports and KPI's;
· Identify problems in area of profitability and initiate strategies for improvement;
· Managing all day-to-day operations of the store;
· Ensure direct supplier order quantities are determined and orders are placed as required to
· Ensure adequate stock levels are always available within the grocery & store departments;
· Ensure that stock and fixture price marking and ticketing is of the highest standard;
· Control efficiency in all areas of stock management;
· Minimize and manage shrinkage/loss;
· Enforce all regulations and policies relating to safety, security and fire precautions applicable within the store;
· Effectively and responsibly delegate within the store;
· Ensure that all team members deliver high quality service in all areas of the business;
· Maintain strict hygiene standards throughout the store departments;
· Lead, coach and develop team members to ensure you are continuously up skilling your team;
· Build a culture of support, customer focus, compliance and community;
· Conducting people safety and product safety audits.
Experience and qualification required:
· 1+ years' experience in a Supermarket/Retail environment;
· 2+ Leadership experience, ideally demonstrated within the FMCG/Retail Supermarket industry;
· Track record of meeting targets and budgets;
· The ability to work within a dynamic and physical retail environment;
· A strong awareness of health and safety policies;
· Strategic and innovative mindset with the ability to articulate ideas with clarity and purpose ;
· Exceptional leadership qualities - the ability to engage, coach and motivate individuals and teams;
· Exceptional internal and external stakeholder engagement at all levels;
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure.
