Job description
The core capability requirements for this role are:
Provide leadership and direction to a team responsible for the provision of accurate and timely advice to clients.
Assist in the supervision and co-ordination of staff operations including training and development and performance management.
Coordinate the processing of applications and correspondence in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
Recommend as required, and coordinate the approved issue of withdrawal, suspension, revocation, replacement and surrender of licences, permits or authorities as required by legislation, standards and guidelines.
Prepare correspondence for the Authorised Officer and/or senior management of Weapons Licensing
Maintain current office systems, policies and procedures, within an environment of continuous improvement, to ensure Unit and Service performance targets are met.
Resolve incomplete applications, and application discrepancies, by liaising and providing advice to applicants, stakeholders, Unit and Service staff.

The occupant of this position will assist in the supervision of a number of Client Service Officers.
