AddressThe Grounds of The City is looking for an amazing AVM to lead the team and work closely with the Venue Manager to create incredible experiences for every customer that comes in our venue.
The Role:
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our front-of-house. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Supervising the floor to maintain The Grounds' standards and ensure exceptional service.
- Overseeing daily operations including opening and closing procedures and the adherence to budgets
- Communicating clearly with staff to provide direction and ensure tasks are completed.
- Monitoring performance and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Managing staffing levels to meet business needs and maintain excellent service.
- Building strong relationships with all departments and attending relevant meetings.
- Share responsibility for the P&L of the venue and attend all relevant meetings in the Venue Managers absence.
Who You Are:
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a management role within a similar a la carte venue.
- Your hands-on approach means you thrive on the floor, supporting, leading and training the front-of-house staff.
- You are experienced in all aspects of restaurant operations, from opening to closing.
- Customer satisfaction is your priority, and you excel at building rapport with guests.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- You have a genuine desire to learn and grow with our team.
- Your strong people management and communication skills set you apart.
