Assistant Vice President, Casualty Facultative Broking

Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining relationships with both the client and reinsurers
- Analysis risk and assist with developing solutions for clients’ needs
- Assist with responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly in order to maintain client satisfaction
- Supports and assists in the design, development and marketing of new brokerage products and programs to win new projects.
- Assists more senior level Brokers on more complex client assignments
- Demonstrates proficient awareness of market conditions to better serve client and inform more junior brokers on market trends.
- Update management on issues, progress etc regularly and upon request to ensure high quality client service
- Monitors accounts (payments, collections etc) anticipating and preventing problems when possible
- Maintains strong relationships with client, colleagues and insurance/reinsurance companies to efficiently communicate client demands and requests internally.
- Draft policy contracts reflective of bound risk
- Book accounts within internal booking system
- May assess contract documents and bond forms as well as banking terms and conditions.
- May assess and explain for the client the terms and conditions of General Agreement of Indemnity required to be executed by Clients to support all surety transactions.
- May assess financial statements for all industries with specific knowledge of each industries unique financial market
- Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- To be a self-starter with strong organisation skills
- To be presentable, confident and professional as the role will require you to liaise with senior clients on behalf of our business.
- The ability to drive change and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships and liaise with clients, the team, and senior management.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the insurance/broking industry
- Knowledge of Reinsurance and Casualty insurance is desirable
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- The ability to read and interpret Financial Lines policy wordings
- Experience in communicating with clients in a professional and credible manner
