The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Village Manager to join our team at Parkland Villas Booragoon, a contemporary retirement village located in WA.
The village exudes a welcoming atmosphere, featuring 185 homes, 150 beautiful villas and 35 apartments and a community centre that is equipped with a range of amenities that complement the lifestyle of our friendly residents.

The successful candidate will be focused on supporting operational functions of the village and managing day-to-day activities and competing priorities, ensuring the village is properly maintained for the enjoyment of the residents.
Reporting through to the Village Manager, your key accountabilities in this role will include:
Implementing operational plans & projects
Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the village
Implementing company policies, strategies and plans to maintain residents’ satisfaction.
Assisting with running of village events, social calendar and activities
Contributing to effective resident management to foster strong customer relationships and support delivery of village maintenance.
Providing assistance with the preparation of budgets, assist with budget issues and financial processing.
Supporting the provision of a safe working environment for all staff, contractors, visitors and residents.
Onboarding new Contractor Contracts and renewals
Coordination of contractors for quotes for jobs
Induction of New Residents
About you:
Your proactive and customer-focused attitude will see you succeed in the role, as well as an ability to work autonomously to deliver professional outcomes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills will be key to your success in this role as will:
Demonstrated a solid understanding of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
Has the knowledge in regulations specific to retirement living villages.
Has previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or community services/retirement sector, or demonstrate skills aligned to the role from an alternative sector.
Excellent customer service skills, fostering positive face-to face interactions. Has the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent computer literacy – including the Microsoft Office Suite
A keen eye for detail and ability to balance different priorities and manage day-to-day expectations for the residents and their families.
Experience with budgeting (desirable)
A First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate or be willing to complete
Valid driver’s licenses
Willingness to learn and professionally develop, along with a proactive and can-do attitude.
