The Policy, Performance and Compliance team have an ongoing opportunity for an Associate Director to support DEIT's Closing The Gap (CTG) commitments.
In the role you will, provide expert economic and policy advice and lead the delivery of a range of research projects, analyses and reports, particularly in support of DEIT's commitments under Closing the Gap to improve Aboriginal employment and business outcomes. This will involve engagement and coordination with stakeholders and applying evidence-based economic principles, to inform strategy, policy, and investment decisions, to develop innovative and fit-for-purpose materials that are accessible to decision makers, and to facilitate the delivery of major initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Extensive experience in applying economic principles, undertaking research projects, developing and evaluating policy and strategy options, and clearly communicating complex economic analysis in various forms.
- Demonstrated project management, stakeholder engagement and policy development skills.
