The role is a clerk grade 11/12, with the salary for this role starting at $139,787 - $161,663 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

About the Role
Infrastructure NSW is on the lookout for an innovative and visionary individual to step into the role of Associate Director, Infrastructure Portfolio Performance. If you're prepared to engage in an environment where your insights shape the future, this opportunity is for you.
As the Associate Director, Infrastructure Portfolio Performance, you will be responsible for the ongoing analyses of the State's infrastructure projects. Your primary focus will involve identifying key trends, understanding risk drivers, and developing effective risk mitigation strategies. Collaborating closely with the assurance team and agency stakeholders, you will gather and validate information about the projects' performance, including status updates, risks, and challenges. Your pivotal role will involve preparing high-quality strategic reports and cabinet submissions, offering a comprehensive overview of the portfolio's performance to inform governmental decision-making.
Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:

  • Leading the analysis and monitoring of the performance of the State Infrastructure Portfolio of capital projects for the purpose of internal and external reports that inform government decision making.
  • Generating analysis and insights on risks to the state Infrastructure Portfolio and propose evidence-based mitigation strategies to support advice to Cabinet and central government.
  • Developing and utilising a variety of data analysis techniques to identify patterns and trends across performance of the Infrastructure Portfolio.
  • Managing the production of investor assurance cabinet reports and strategic reports including the annual Trends and Insights report.
About You
We are seeking an individual with substantial experience in the infrastructure sector, adept at navigating through various stages of the infrastructure lifecycle. Your established track record in project risk control and project assurance, coupled with proficiency in generating insights and conducting insightful data analysis, truly sets you apart. Salesforce skills or experience with a similar product is highly valued. Your exceptional skill in bridging the gap between business and analytics disciplines, resulting in impactful presentations, is a key asset.
Holding a bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Engineering or Science, you bring a practical understanding of the infrastructure industry in Australia. Your expertise shines in conducting complex research, employing structured problem-solving techniques, conducting thorough analysis, and producing advanced reports. Your comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in infrastructure risk or investment make you the ideal candidate for our team.
