Where you'll be working
This position is based in Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) which ranges between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour and offers flexibility to travel between our various locations and work from home (by negotiation). Choose where you would like to be based within MNCLHD.
What you'll be doing.
The Associate Director, Internal Audit and Risk will assist the Internal Audit Team to design and deliver quality performance audits within defined time-frames and budget, culminating in published reports providing independent assurance to ensure delivery of an integrated and effective service, and reports to the Director Internal Audit and Risk.
In this role, you will deliver on the core Internal Audit activities in the Internal Audit Plan while ensuring effective management of the Internal Audit function.
You will manage and conduct complex and sensitive compliance, performance/operational audits; fraud and prevention strategies, special projects and investigations, independent and objective advice and information on control, including risk and governance issues in order to contribute to the effective operation of the Local Health District.
